We are currently looking for a volunteer Casework Assistant to work in Morden on a Wednesday.
The ideal candidate should have some knowledge or a genuine interest in Employment Law and have the ability to touch type at a fluent speed of about 60 wpm.
Casework assistant volunteers provide support to either one or several caseworkers. Depending on the requirements of individual caseworkers, you may be asked to draft letters, deliver documents to court, clerk at court, photocopy bundles, observe client interviews, make phone calls, bill for work, conduct research and perform any other reasonable tasks. This role is suitable for people who wish to pursue a career in the legal sector, particularly law students or graduates, or who have already developed a career in this sector. Some legal knowledge is essential for the role and previous legal work experience is desirable.
