VOLUNTEERS

The Law Centre is a vital resource for the whole community and we rely on support from the local community in order to provide all the services we offer.

We're grateful to the many volunteers every year who give their time, energy and motivation to help tackle the root causes of poverty, injustice and crisis that affect the most vulnerable people in the society.

Last year, we assisted clients with advice and representation. We simply couldn’t do this without the help and support of our volunteers, they enable us to increase the number of people we can assist.

There are many ways that you can get involved in the Law Centres’ work:

Pro Bono Advice Clinics

We're proud to work with one of the largest network of pro bono volunteer solicitors, who are committed to sharing their expertise with people in our local community, by providing free, high quality legal advice at our evening Legal Advice Clinics, across 5 boroughs: Croydon, Wandsworth, Wimbledon, Kingston and Merton.

To volunteer as an adviser, you must have a current, valid practicing certificate together with experience in Law you wish to advise on. Should you wish to register your interest, please click here.

Other kinds of volunteering

Volunteering with us is a great way to gain valuable work experience, learn new skills and meet new people. At our friendly offices, we truly value our volunteers because they bring invaluable enthusiasm to our work while making a difference to those that are most in need of our support.

If you want to offer your time and experience in these or other way please see the links on the left-hand side of the page, which contains the role descriptions and criteria we may need for the some of the posts.

Follow this link to register your interest in volunteering for any of the available roles. Please note that we advertise roles and accept new application on a rolling basis.

Giving to help local people access justice

The demand for our help is always greater than our ability to provide advice to everyone who asks for it. If you'd like to help more local people access justice you can donate online or find out more here. Thank you!
