Thank you for your interest in volunteering at SWLLC.
We can assist hundreds of extra clients every year – enabling them to understand and enforce their legal rights – because of our volunteers.
How you can help protect legal rights in South West London
The Law Centre is a resource for the whole community and it relies on support from the local community in order to provide all the services it offers.
There are a number of ways that you can get involved in the Law Centre's work:
Pro Bono Advice Clinics
The Law Centre works with a wide range of volunteers, primarily solicitors from who volunteer at our free evening advice clinics. If you are a qualified solicitor or barrister and want to offer your expertise and experience as part of this pro bono programme, please click the link on the left hand side of the page.
Find out more about why our volunteers are part of our clinics through reading the Why I Do Pro Bono interviews on our LinkedIn page.
Other kinds of volunteering
We also work with other volunteers who share their skills and time by such as working on our reception desk, providing admin support and helping us with media and marketing work as well as a casework assistant. If you want to offer your skills and experience in these or other ways, please see the links on the left hand side of the page.
Contributing to the costs of providing legal advice
The demand for our help is always greater than our ability to provide advice to everyone who asks for it. This is due in part to the limited number of staff we are able to employ at any one time, and the restrictions resulting from the limited amount of funding we are able to secure for our work.
For a limited time all donations will be doubled via match funding, please donate today.
