JOB ADVERT – Housing Caseworker / Solicitor
South West London Law Centres (SWLLC) one of the largest and most progressive Law Centres in the country, is seeking a Housing Solicitors/Caseworker – LAA supervisor to be based at our Kingston upon Thames office.
We are looking for a new LAA qualified category housing supervisor to run our Kingston office and to expand our capacity to undertake housing work. You will be working with a paralegal. There are currently 7 solicitors in the housing team, one trainee and two paralegals across our 4 branch offices. We run a wide range of housing covered by Legal Aid including a significant amount of representation work as part of the housing court duty schemes including the court in Kingston. We are looking for an energetic lawyer who can expand our work in Kingston as the court is likely to become more significant with the proposals to close Wandsworth Court. We are also in discussions with Surrey Law Centre over the possibility of some joint working. We are considering looking further at a range of fixed fees and conditional fee agreements for areas that have now gone out of scope of Legal Aid.
Housing Solicitor / Caseworker - LAA qualified category housing supervisor
Salary: Up to £36,244 p.a (NJC Scale 37 including Inner London Weighting) depending on experience
Reports to: Head of Legal Practice
Term: Permanent
Based at: Kingston upon Thames - Travel may be required to our other branch offices and court duty schemes we operate.
